U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement today on the Senate's confirmation of Ambassador Mark Green as Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID):
"I'm proud that the Senate today confirmed Ambassador Mark Green as Administrator of USAID. Mark has dedicated his life and career to public service and advancing human rights and democracy around the world. I can think of no more qualified individual to lead USAID at this critical time than Ambassador Mark Green. I look forward to continuing our work together promoting freedom and democracy through international development and aid."
